HURI 2017 Year In Review

It’s that time of the year again, where we sit back, relax and enjoy the fruits of our labor while reflecting on the works that pretty much took over our lives for the past 12 months 😅 But first, some fun facts!

Fun Facts

As a multidisciplinary creative studio, we made quite variety of work e.g. branding, events, website, etc. but Video took most of our waking (and sleeping) hours this year.

👀
From event collaterals, product branding to online videos, this year’s projects have been seen, touched and experienced by 36,291 pair of eyeballs and hands.

💻
We live, eat and sleep Adobe CC. So it’s no surprise that the most used app for our work is Adobe Illustrator. Bossman Zam wrote a bit about it here.

🎨
It might be a coincidence with our brand (favourite) color, but Blue was the most used color in our projects this year. “Monday blues” seem pretty apt now.

☕️
We’re not really coffee drinkers, but 480 cups of Milo have been our primary fuel to burn through the late nights and early mornings chasing deadlines.

Live performance of Lightcraft from Jakarta for Dublin-based BalconyTV. The Webby Award-winning website highlights local and international upcoming artists by giving them a unique global platform. Watch video.

Brooklyn Day Out

Event keyart and collateral design for Brooklyn-inspired food and music festival curated by Raising The Bar at Genting Highland’s SkyAvenue MallWatch teaser.

FitSpace 66

Branding and marketing collateral for new hip community boutique fitness studio/event space in Bukit Jelutong with the objective of bringing people together to be healthier, happier and to build a circle of positivity and love. Its versatile activity from zumba to hip hop to kick boxing, caters to all adults and children. Global Transformation Forum 2017

Program book for PEMANDU‘s GTF 2017, the world’s singular platform for influential, global leaders to engage and share experiences and best practices on how to drive transformation, with main speakers Sir Richard Branson, Jack Ma, Usain Bolt and Chris Gardner. Visit website.

myHarapan

The force is strong with myHarapan’s 2017 revamped website! The Youth Trust Foundation is dedicated towards empowering young Malaysians by supporting youth projects and initiatives that contribute to current nation-building efforts. Visit website.

Tukang Perahu Pulau Duyong

Keyart for Azharr Rudin’s award-winning 2013 ‘Tukang Perahu Pulau Duyong’ documentary about “a soulful journey through an oral history of a small community behind the traditions of boatbuilding” in Mermaid Island, Terengganu. Watch film.

Borakarts 2017

Event keyart for Borakarts, the regional performing arts conference for creative practitioners and business leaders. Their goal is to shift the focus from idea generation to idea execution by bringing together the world’s most productive creative visionaries to share their best practices. Visit website.

Choose2Impact

Exhibition booth design for Choose2Impact at GECommunity Summit 2017. Choose2Impact is a platform to connect people with product suppliers and solution providers that feature technology or social innovations meant to give an impact towards a better community, friendly environment, healthy and sustainable economy. Fugeelah

Branding, website and event collateral for Fugeelah, a lifestyle accessories line designed and produced by brave children seeking refuge in Malaysia and women from marginalised Malaysian communities. A social enterprise arm of non-profit Fugee School by Deborah HenryFrankitas and Batik BoutiqueVisit website.

Lidari Jewels

A 10-part video ad series for Lidari Jewel’s latest collection, who also entrusted us with their rebranding last year. Lidari Jewels is a personal jeweller specializing in bespoke, luxurious and exclusive designs since 1994. A collaboration with Avicenna Studio and Haverhuck VHSWatch videos.

The Otherside Orchestra

Collaboration with Stellar Design Studio for The Otherside Orchestra’s first single ‘In & Out’ music video off their second album ‘Disco Chemist’. It was a fun analog experiment with bright colors, geometric patterns and paper animation! Watch video.

Yayasan Chow Kit

Toolkit/training manual for child practitioners and NGOs based on Yayasan Chow Kit’s 6 years experience. YCK is a 24-hour crisis and drop-in centre providing meals, activities, therapy, case management, ​and educational programmes for at-risk children of Chow Kit. Visit website.
